Description:
Chloroprene is the first synthetic rubber developed commercially and exhibits generally good ozone, aging and chemical resistance. It has good mechanical properties over a wide temperature range.
Advantages:
Can be use in paraffin base mineral oil with low DPI, silicone oil and grease, water and water solvents (up to 250°F), refrigerants, ammonia and carbon dioxide.
Disadvantages:
Cannot be used with aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones, esters and ethers.
