Shaft Diameter

Shaft Diameter

Increasing shaft diameter results in higher frictional torque and required power. These increases will affect the underlip temperature and would require the revolutions per minute (RPM) to be lowered. Because of associated costs and sealability it is preferred to minimize the diameter of a radial shaft seal.
