Investment Casting
Investment casting, also called lost wax casting, is a process generally used for small castings. The process is known for producing complicated shapes that would either be costly or impossible with other cast processes.
We offer two lost wax methods, one uses a traditional ceramic media and produces a casting with exceptional tolerance control and surface finish. The other, uses a sodium silicate liquid and sand media to produce low cost investment cast parts.
Steel is by far the most common material choice, aluminum and copper are also available. Various steel alloys are available, 1020, 1030, 1045, 4140, 4340, 8620, 8630 and WCB.
